What to

expect

What to expect from your online assessment

A clear, simple process from your first appointment to your recovery

Your online appointment works much the same as an in-person physiotherapy session. You’ll talk through your symptoms, complete simple guided movements, and receive clear advice on what to do next.

Here's what to expect at each stage

Before your appointment

Book your appointment through our online scheduling link and share a short description of your symptoms. This gives your physiotherapist the information needed to prepare for your assessment.

You’ll receive instructions on how to join your video or phone consultation. A quiet space and enough room to stand and move comfortably are all you need.

During your appointment

Your physiotherapist will:

  • ask about your symptoms and how they affect your daily life

  • review any previous treatment or imaging

  • guide simple movements if helpful for diagnosis

  • explain what is likely causing your symptoms and why

  • outline what usually helps people recover from similar problems

The goal is to give you a clear, practical understanding of what’s going on and how to move forward.

If imaging or a GP review is needed

Most musculoskeletal problems can be safely managed without scans, but if your physiotherapist believes imaging or a GP review would add important information, they will:

  • explain why

  • tell you what to expect

  • provide a referral letter if appropriate

  • guide you on next steps

This ensures you’re never left navigating the process alone.

After your appointment

Follow-up support

You can book follow-up sessions to check progress, update your plan, or talk through new symptoms. Your physiotherapist stays involved as you recover.

Plan adjustments when symptoms change

If you have questions or your symptoms shift, we help you understand what that means and how to adapt your exercises.

A clear path forward

The goal is simple: to help you feel better with a plan that makes sense and fits your life.
